The integration of technology into education is a vital part of preparing our students for the 21st century and to be successful in the future.
We believe that technology, when used instructionally, has the potential to help your child learn more, increase conceptual understanding at a deeper level, and learn more efficiently. Additionally, technology provides a wonderful environment to practice the 4 C’s: creativity, critical thinking, communication, and collaboration. These skills are critical for being successful in the 21st century.
Our vision for the use of technology is as follows:
- ALL Students will have choice in how they make their thinking and learning visible
- ALL Students will participate as respectful and appropriate digital citizens in the community
- ALL Students will engage in learning through the phases of consuming, creating, curating, and connecting
- CUSD will provide equitable access to technology
Technology is a tool for learning and we want our students to understand this, especially if they are accustomed to using technology for entertainment. We are encouraging our students to use technology to research, collaborate, construct, create, and present!
